Harvest to Horizon brings together Kate Edwards’ reflections on the landscapes and still life that shape our sense of place. From shifting skies and quiet fields to flowers and vegetables gathered from the harvest, her paintings invite us to pause and notice the beauty in our surroundings.
Edward’s work has visible broad washes and loose blending while bringing so much detail. Her palette leans toward warm, natural hues—earthy greens, soft golds, muted blues—rooting the work in a familiar comforting experience. From floral still life to landscapes, the viewer, while embraced by the art, may recognize familiar locations from the lower Adirondack region.
“Overall, Edwards’ style is painterly in the truest sense: expressive, textured, and guided by an emotional response to her subject rather than rigid precision.”– Belinda Colón, Curator and Director.
A portion of the sales will support Planned Parenthood. There will also be an artist talk on October 15 from 7-8 pm.
