Both Melindo and Litvinov use bright colors in their work that can create experiences in color expression. Their bright hues of pink, blue, yellow and green, among other colors, are playful and friendly. The works subject matter, landscapes and still lives, will bring joyful energy into a viewers’ home and or office.
We will also be continuing our mail art project. This project showcases posted mail artwork created by our own community. The artwork received is displayed in our gallery hallway at 110 Spring Street in Saratoga. You do not have to be a working artist to participate. All ages are welcome. All artworks will be documented and placed on our website for all to see.
Color expression is a powerful tool in art and design, evoking emotions and conveying messages without words. Different hues can evoke varying emotional responses; for instance, warm colors like red and yellow often symbolize passion and energy, while cool colors such as blue and green can induce calmness and tranquility. The cultural and psychological impact of colors further enhances their expressive potential, allowing artists and designers to communicate complex ideas and feelings. By thoughtfully choosing and combining colors, creators can guide viewers’ perceptions and reactions, making color an essential element in visual storytelling.
A portion of the sales from this exhibit will benefit LifeWorks Community Action. LifeWorks Community Action – formerly Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council (EOC) – is a nonprofit established in 1965 that works to alleviate poverty at the local level in Saratoga County and the Northern Capital Region.

About the Artist
MAX LITVINOV and SOLIVEN MELINDO
Max Litvinov is an multi medium painter and muralist. Through the years he created multitude of personal art pieces, worked together with different brands and took part in many art exhibitions, street-art and mural festivals in Hong Kong, South Korea and the US. Litvinov started his career with street art, which eventually transformed into large scale murals, and he is also extensively studying academic drawing and oil painting on canvas. He creates both realistic and abstract art pieces. Litvinov actively continues to develop his style and privately studies with accomplished artists.
At the moment he’s immersed in his studio work and organizing art classes for children/teenagers in multiple cities.
Litvinov is interested in philosophy, psychology, Buddhism, meditation, art and healthy lifestyle. His sense of adventure and curiosity led him to spend 4 years traveling the world, covering more than 30 countries.
Litvinov studied academic drawing and oil painting at a prestigious art college and privately with many talented masters. He believes that a great artist studies throughout his life continuously, and that’s exactly the path he follows. Litvinov still experiments quite a bit and regularly takes up different classes.
Litvinov currently resides and works in Albany, New York. He got started with wall art as a teenager over 20 years ago and is still in the game.
“I am interested in the synthesis of abstract and realistic art, and love impressionism. I enjoy different techniques and materials: it could be a distinctive academic drawing with a pencil and an expressive painting with oil or pastels. Lately I’ve been spending more time experimenting with color. I appreciate it when an art piece takes your breath away.”

Soliven Melindo is an multi medium painter and designer.
Melindo, born in the Philippines, is a Saratoga Springs, NY-based artist. He began his fine art career in the Philippines, where he received his BFA. Later, her relocated to New York City to pursue graphic arts at Parsons School of Design.
As he gained experience, he worked full time in various ad agencies in New York City and became an expert in the field of graphic arts.
While in Queens, NY, he exhibited his artworks at The Cultural Environ of West Queens with his subject range from landscapes to street scene using oil and pastels.
His hard work led him to Saratoga Springs, NY where he honed his graphic and fine art skills, creating exquisite artwork in both traditional and digital art mediums. In 2000, he worked at Palio Communications. After eleven years in business, he became a freelance visual artist at Finger Paint Marketing and other local advertising agencies.
His interest in painting still active. Recently, his artwork was used in the film, “Baby Ruby”. He now actively takes part in yearly exhibition events, where his artwork is highly appreciated and sought after by art enthusiasts.
“Each Piece of my art is an investigation into color, form, and texture. I enjoy playing with different color combinations and hues. I want to add depth and movement to my works, just like a chessboard, by layering negative and positive or contrasting colors, and repeating textures to generate a dynamic visual effect.
My artwork represents the importance of connecting with nature and restoring the beauty of our surroundings for people who love it. I feel that as artists, we have the ability to reveal nature’s beauty through the medium of art.
Overall, my goal as an artist is to created artwork that is visually engaging and stimulating, to bring joy to those who view it, and to spark conversations and introspection.
I hope my pieces will inspire viewers to think critically about their own experiences and perspectives and engage with the world in a more meaningful way.”
